"You want to sleep with a child?!?!? and you thought you would come to my house?!?!"

"GUARDS!!! GUARDS!!!! SOMEONE GET THE GUARDS!!!" The fragile man gave out a not so fragile scream for the guards. If there was anyone still awake this night in Altimira they wouldn't be anymore.

Yep...Rene thought to himself this is Manfried. My...friend....

This plan had backfired!

Manfred had to think quickly.

Manfred jumps into the doorway with old man and starts pointing at Rene. " GUARDS! GUARDS! COME QUICK DON GALLO IS TERRORIZING US!

"This should buy us some time," thought Manfred.

Rene had a distant thought as Manfred accosted the old man. Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal he thought to himself...odd.

Rene hadn't much time before the guards arrived. Had he not been so hungry he might have had a better plan but for now it was run. Rene found an alley and ducked inside. Rene had spent years being invisible to the Montaigne nobility he figured he could be invisible to Castilian guards. A plan began to shape up in his mind. After all he reeked of the streets and was covered in filth. He had seen beggars before; he had done some acting (pretending to like his employers) why not. Rene took off his shoe and sat down against a nearby house. He would pretend to be a beggar. For now.

Rene heard the thud of guards boots before he saw them. Twelve men all with their uniforms pressed and perfectly adorned. They approached the mans house.

Upon hearing the shout for help (and coincidentally the name Don Gallo, which had been floating around the town for some time), Don Alejandro Vasquez de Soldano (who had been visiting his old friend and comrade, Sgt. Renaldo Arreña formerly of His Majesty's 3rd Cavalry) comes striding purposefully out of the back room (where he had been waiting patiently for Renaldo who'd just heard a knock at his door), his hand placed firmly on the hilt of the Aldana blade presented to him by His Majesty, Salvador I.

Upon seeing the towering Eisen standing in his friend's doorway, he decides it most prudent to make his presence known. In the voice long accustomed to command, he says "What's all this then?"

Manfred was now caught between the guards running up the street and a suddenly appeared swordsman.

He had to think quick.

He turns to the swordsman, "Ja, is this ze sausage haus? Ich was trying to find mein bruder in law, Guenther who lives dort in Altamira now."

"Ich was asking ze kind old man here for directions, ven dis angry man, Don Gallo threatened him und then runs away."

Manfred begins to sweat beneath his armor. Although surely this was unnecessary, this plan was perfect.

Rene was anxious he had gone too far down the street to properly see what was going on. The thud of boots had stopped. The guards should be at the mans door. Rene couldn't see though. Rene thought he had heard something about a sausage house?

This silly curse had recently been acting up due to Rene's inactivity so Rene figured it better to go out in the street with his beggar act then to start puking or writhing in pain in the alley...or worse. So cautiously Rene began to meander "drunkenly" down the street asking for change, shoe in hand. Rene figured if things got ugly it was a good plan to have a weapon on hand....his shoe.

When Rene neared the mans door there was an interesting sight. Twelve towns guard lay on the ground and Manfred stood with his weapon in one hand and the old man in the other facing a Castillian man weapon also drawn. Manfred explaining in great detail a "sausage house" and how this was all a "big misunderstanding." Something about the "first sausage is on me"

All Rene could muster was "spare some change sirs?"

"Well, this did not go exactly as I planned it", thought Manfred "time for some quick thinking, my specialty".

"Ja, mein Castillian freund, as I explained before this is all ein big misunderstanding, you see..." At this point Manfred pushes the old man towards the Castillian swordsman and runs as fast as he can.

He turns the corner, and slams right into some smelly beggar, the next thing he sees are the cobblestones closing in on his vision and then it goes to black.
