Wearing just the cape, hmmmm. No, can't see him quite doing that. He likes his hat too much.

I'd posted this earlier, but just as a reminder, Here are all the 7th Sea events I'll be running at GenCon...

Wed:
1-5 (Running) Beauty-ful Dreamers
5-6 (Running) Beauty-ful Treasures (Maybe*)
9-1 (Running) CV07 Rex Castillium (Maybe*)

Thurs:
9-1 (Running) HoA: Episode 1
2-6 (Running) HoA: Episode 2

Fri:
9-1 (Running) HoA: Episode 1
2-6 (Running) HoA: Episode 2

Sun:
9-1 (Running) HoA: Episode 1 (Maybe*)

*I still haven't heard official word (and admittedly haven't really actively pursued the answer) as to whether I will be running the CV game. If not, I'd be perfectly willing to run the sequel (or to re-run the first "Beauty-ful" adventure).
And Sunday's event is completely off the books (first choice to those who haven't yet played).

By the way, I should have a ticket for the 2PM Friday game, HoA: Episode 2, if anyone is interested in acquiring it. I ended up filling in at Origins.

Mike, if no one else wants to buy it, I will (I can just trade it for generics for whoever shows up).

When did you get into adventure 2? was it thursday afternoon? That was the only session I did not spend any time around due to schedule.

I was scheduled to GM a game in that slot.

It was decided to consolidated two games into one, which freed me up to play.

I'm absolutely interested. While I've already played in Episode 2, I'd like to play again (this time as Caitlin), especially since Adam & Nicci got the last two tickets for it.

And yes, Sal, he played on Thursday afternoon (I know, cuz I was there...) ;)

You may be sorry you said that....

Oh, and define "interesting". ;)

You all know me well enough to know my definition of interesting. However, if Floyd has another close encounter with the undead, that may warrant a phone call. And if you see Esteban in the New World Mugs booth, tell him I said hello (no idea if he is working it or sending an employee)

Yeah, you did if you sent it my way. Still not a fan of anything Whedon. Watched it, like it better than the rest but have not looked at it a second time.

I really like the series, and I loved the movie. And I completely enjoyed running the games at Origins several years back. (Though running the Mardi Gras-esque adventure at GenCon with a 10 year old playing Jayne was a bit disconcerting - there's a reason we said 16+ in the write-up....)

:P I find that interesting Sal, considering last year you had cut off your hair, in particular to come in as Jayne, though that fell through for some reason I can't remember. But I do remember you telling us that, so you have to know enough about Firefly to imitate Jayne. :D

That was not the reason at all for the hairccut, just a possible bonus. And to be totally honest, if you have seen any two Adam Baldwin performances, you can handle an impersonation. He is not that diverse in his skills in terms of speaking. (and every gaming site had a rampant amount of Jayne quoting to look up if you needed it) same is true of Alan Rickman, once you get the voice, it's just a matter of creating context for whichever role you want to copy. (snape and hans gruber and sherrif of notingham all play the same for impersonation)

He's right. Casey is basically Jayne. Just more CIA.

Also, I see no reason to be ashamed to change your hair for a character. I'm going black for GenCon.

Oh, I see no shame either. I was just ribbing Sal.

Personally I tend to like short hair on men better than long, but will have to say Sal hair length this year to me look absolutely perfect on him. *sigh*

My hair only looks perfect on me because it is mine. It would be out of place on anyone else. (plus I was mostly sitting next to Mark and his is way too short on anybody's head). What is it now, 8 days?. This would be time to polish your dice, find your dry erase markers and make sure you have a couple spare blank sheets of paper in plastic sheet sleeves to jot notes on. Also double check your supply of travel stuff like shampoo and soap. Nobody wants to game with the person that forgot to pack soap.

Actually Sal,
I already packed everything. I'm down in Stone Mountain, Ga. right now. Tomorrow we leave for Amicalola Falls. And then finally, the bus ride to GenCon.
