Yup, just like usual, Event Submission begins Sept 1. Reviewing with the other GMs now to discuss what we'll be running.

Odds are good we will be running another PA slot either earlier or later on to accommodate numbers.

You WILL NOT be allowed to participate twice at the same con. If we do this it will be to reduce table size back to reasonable numbers and let you get enough solo time with Mark. This year we had at least 32 people show up for the PA which is double capacity.

So if we do this, no double dipping, no showing up with second characters, no buying tickets for both times and deciding later when you want to play.

And before you complain about my rules on this keep in mind that I will be running these extra sessions and losing 4-8 hours of play time to do this with no extra benefits. (Because I want you to have fun).

Dave, as long as I get my 2 sessions and a PA with team heretic, ill take the other PA.

But, Dave? Even if Sonya has good Disguise and Acting? I can even wear my wig.

Seriously, if it comes down to time, a lot of Sonya's invention time can be solo. But, of course, she could willingly assist most anyone with their PA, and so will try to sign up for the Saturday time slot.

We want you all at the table. But we want you there once. We are not asking folks to skip the session, only play at certain cons or schedule time with Mark outside sessions to get your stuff done.

But everybody deserves a chance to get in and there are more of you than e can accommodate in the same time slot.

Yeah, we book before we leave. But you all should totally book early and not have to worry about it later.

You know, I can still probably get a hold of that giant hammer from Bristol...

And baring any unforeseen circumstances, here's our schedule (complete with GM no less). Keep in mind the GM is not set in stone (well except for the PAs). So we might do some switching of that.

EDIT: GMs have been finalized and all GoSM games will be in the Champagne room this year (table numbers are in parentheses after the GM name). Megaparanoia will be in Grant.

*Note this is Stephen's first time running for us and I'd normally say, give him hell, but he has a new baby so I doubt very much any of us can make it worse. Welcome aboard Stephen!

Believe it or not but hotel rooms are going fast, with the Hyatt already sold out the day it went live (Sept. 1). We are up against other events in Columbus so call now for rooms!

Well, I tried calling the Crowne Plaza, and they are sold out too, so looks like I'm going to hope for a cancellation or see what else is around there. Ugh, I can't believe that they sold out so quickly, I've never seen it like that. We may be up against other things happening, but they usually block areas off for the convention, so looks like it's going to be a busy one, this coming year. Hope I can make it.

Oh you know me, I got this all done the day it went live. Got my reservations at the Crowne Plaza like normal. So I'm all set. See you all in 39 Weeks, 6 Days, 11 Hours, and 14 Minutes.

Yeah, I figured you did. But some of us have to wait to see what clears with the paycheck to make sure we have the money to go on the deposit for the room that the hotels always want.

Just a quick note for folks. Apparently even though it looks similar, this is a whole new system. So if you're having trouble getting the system to recognize you, it's possible that your previous records were wiped (this goes double for those of us who just get GM badges). If that happens, just input all the stuff like you're new and voila, you're all set.

Does it recognize the discount for GoSM members?

no, we haven't even been asked to send in our list of members yet.

Any updates on the system recognizing the GoSM discount? (I'm currently waiting to register, but I may get too antsy...)

I wouldn't expect to get the codes until about a month before the con starts. If you're desperate, you can always buy one now then get a refund.

So, I was checking out the Origins site, and saw that the event submission deadline is March 1, 2017, but could not find any reference as to when event registration will begin. Anyone have any insight?

And they won't say a thing about it until about a week (or less) before it happens. But on the (semi)bright side, there are plenty of folks who will let us all know once Origins announces when it will be.

As for our events, everything looks good so far, right number of adventures on the right days.
