24 days until I leave, 25 until Origins 2017!

Three weeks till Origins!!!

Two weeks until I leave, 15 days until Origins!

Twelve days until I leave, 13 days until Origins!

Just updated my hotel reservation, since I'll be flying in to Columbus, rather than driving (so I don't need to stay till Monday).

I'm just a little excited about the con - only been going over my character and notes once or twice (or five or six times, but who's counting....)

So a small FB notification tells me Origins event reg is now closed. A quick check of the events reveals someone jumped in at the last minute to buy a couple of tickets. Even so, there's still about 45 tickets still available. So if you didn't buy tickets yet, you're probably still fine. See you all in just 12 days!

Now the countdown begins in earnest. 10!

Ive started packing.

Been using the same list (to pack with) since 2011. And I refuse to pack anything until the day before I leave (it's tradition, just like listening to "the biggest ball of twine in Minnesota" first thing when I leave)

Only because i dont need to bring a bag of clothes to gencon.

well, that makes sense. then again, since I don't RPG at home anymore, the gear stays ready to go to origins year round.

Busy for the next couple of days. Today kiddos are having friends over, then its off to Wonder Woman (my daughter hasn't seen it yet and we boys are looking for an excuse to see it again). Tomorrow, it's gaming (I heard one request for Cold Steel Wardens but I'll have both that and 7th Sea prepared) followed by going to the Airport to pick up my mom (she comes to visit when I go to cons to help Jenny with the kiddos and cleans the house to within an inch of it's life). Monday is prep day, and Tues I'm off!

Oh hey, did anyone else get the email for the Origins App? I downloaded it, but not super impressed. Seems REAL similar to the app GenCon did about 10 years ago (Maps, way to post on FB/Twitter, if you log in you can see your events listed, searchable events list, etc.) What I would have expected was, say mapping software/GPS to give you directions to events, event reminders synced to distance to travel, ability to notify players of cancellations/available seating for events, real-time updates of new events/secret events just for users of the app, that kind of thing.
