So, are there any commuter rails and/or bus routes coming from Boston?

Sorry I didn't respond sooner Mike, Routes are about the same down to Milford as they are up to Marlborough

Well, at least there is/was a bus from Boston to Nashua, NH.

It took about five hours to get there, but it exists/existed. Marlborough was in the wilds, and I suppose Milford is no different?

Both Marlborough and Milford take about 2 hours by bus/walking.

You can walk as fast as a bus?

If he only has 30 minutes to get to the other side of the dealer hall, mark can!

There is a lot less traffic in the sidewalks. And probably a questionable shortcut the bus can't use.

Governor Baker bans gatherings of 250+ effective today. Con team is meeting Monday to discuss.

The window for this con is too close for it to happen. A statewide ban on gatherings will force it to cancelation because there won't be time to remove the ban.

Yea, that's what I've been thinking. Sucks as I was looking forward to it. But it will make other (non-gaming) plans easier to deal with.

Probably true. The real answer is if they reschedule and to when.

There is a con in CT that was supposed to be at the end of March. They have rescheduled for mid May, which I think is being a tad bit too optimistic.

It is also tough for me because I can't attend OGC which is the only other option local to me for this years modules and PA. Hopefully they reschedule at a good time for all involved.

Yes, it will help. The con organizers will not be on the hook for their lease, hotels will be forced to refund on cancellations, etc. So nobody gets stuck with a bill they cannot cover.

But for a young show, it doesn't help build a fanbase.

Just got the email from Rising Phoenix, they will be canceling the convention this year. You can get a full refund through Tabletop Events. :(

Update News
Rising Phoenix GameCon is above all else a community of gamers. The kind of community where people take care of each other, and sometimes have to make hard decisions for the common good. Therefore, with heavy heart but strong conviction, we must postpone the Rising Phoenix Game Convention as planned on April 17-19, 2020.

Here are some things you need to know:

Rising Phoenix commits to refunding all registration badge costs including the Tabletop Events processing fees. Use the Refund Request function to recoup your badge costs. Tabletop Events has made it clear to us that your refund will not include the processing fees. If you wish to recoup these fees, contact us and we will send you a check for the processing fees. Realize that it might take a few weeks to get that part of it to you.

Don't forget to cancel your hotel room reservation as soon as possible. The hotel has confirmed that all room reservations for the convention can be cancelled without penalty up to 24 hours before scheduled check-in.

We will be in touch when we have more information on future plans.

Our Board has put a year of effort into planning this event. GMs have prepared games, gamers have made plans, vendors and hotel staff were counting on income from the weekend. We are deeply sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience, and hope that you will join us when we are able to reschedule.

We continue to be a community of gamers. As such, your health and well-being is our primary concern. Please listen to your local and state health authorities, and follow their guidance. Take care of yourself, take care of others, stay safe and join us again, as the Phoenix will yet Rise.

You will do what everybody else does when they have to skip a con for a year, schedule them next year.

I am certain we will be buidling event schedules next year for the cons that did not happen with the plans for people to catch up. (Probably replacing flashbacks with extra slots for this year's events)
