Also not surprised event delays on day one. You can take the wednesday out of Origins but you can't take the opening day hiccups out. Pretty sure they still had those with no event at all last year.

What embodies Origins for me? The easy answer is the games. But what really embodies Origins for me are the places where we break bread, catch up, and just be together. This year is ok, but I really need to eat with all you crazies and catch up.

Weird, i was just thinking about making that.

Ok, have not seen those yet. Very cool except when they are warm being warm apparently makes them even cooler.

Wow! Those are on par with that yellow and redd swirl set i used for Crimson Valor. Which means i kinda dig them.

Plus they are natural stone dice!!!

Item 5, surprise place to find a line: Subway had more people in line then everyone in the food court and any single line over in North Market!!!

Item 8 loot from the dealer room: really not much. I got a metal dice set of pride colors, new giant dice set for my old eyes to see, and a con t-shirt.

I love the Expanse books and the tv show. I saw the RPG for sale and I just don’t know. I’d love to play it but am unsure if I’d buy it.

Item 6, person having the best game in his life. From Dry Gulch miniatures, the undead team pulled off one of the all time great/lucky ambushes that won them the game, and the guy was ecstatic. However he asked me to delete his picture because he was uncomfortable having it put on a website he didn’t know. I agreed and did so, but I haven’t seen someone that happy in a game in years.

Games I played I liked:

Fallout from Modiphious. Love the computer game, think it’s a great con game, unsure for a home campaign.
Mutant and Mastermind: played two events run by Matinee adventures. Monsters, magic, and superheroes. Played twice, once in the 20’s and the other at the start of WW 2 where you got to punch nazis. GM was good with well written adventures.
Tales from the flood: we were all 16 and 17 year olds in the 80’s who turned out to be clones of their parent. Dark, teen angst, well written and run, likely the best event of the weekend.

Two more events, one called bloody pirates tonight and something called Domingo Gigante Sunday morning.

Anybody else remember when Charlie only used tiny dice?
