You'll never get Matt and Mr. Fabulous out of those fancy high paying gigs.

Yeah it's only 90 minutes away from my house to Athens, NY... So it would be a 3 hour detour.

So, I downloaded the Origins app on my phone, and it's very pretty. Unfortunately, it's also fairly useless (at least for me). Since I registered for my events on the website, the app does not appear to have any way to access my schedule.

Anyone else had any luck with the app? I'm thinking I should probably just uninstall it....

I would guess it won't do much of anything intil it is time for the con. There is little sense in making access to schedules active until they have finalized rooms and things like that.

But I have never seen a need to have an app to direct me around a con. ( but i also lnow where stuff is)

I was really thinking that it would be an easy way to validate that all my tickets were in order when I pick up my badge. Nnot that I've had a history of issues with tickets or anything....

The app is not working for schedules. We have been told they are adding more content so we shall see.

I'm not much for apps, since Android is always fighting me. But, I stumbled upon a visual of my schedule by clicking on events, "attend", and then "my schedule". All of my events are visually described.

What the crap??? CRAP!!!

Ok I just learned that the $2 I added onto the cost of events somehow got tripled by Tabletop (or by Origins I am not really sure). For some reason most of the events are free but there are a few that now cost. I thought Origins charged 4 for events and I was just adding 2 onto it. But now I find out we're charging $6 when most are nothing... I did not mean to charge you all that much!

Mark, I do not think it slowed anyone down. I think people are more committed when entry is not based on the badge cost. Just my $6.00... :D

For the record, none of that goes to me. It only goes on covering things of actual value. It does cover the paper and ink Mark has been using for a decade.

There were quite a few things listed as free initially that shouldn't have been, like the crafting classes. Prices eventually showed up.

I am still seeing a whole bunch of RPGs that are listed at $0.

Most did list as "free" (cost of the badge). However, there are listings ~$100, so you're not too bad...

Oh man, at $100 bucks do we get the privilege of gaming with some very important RPG celebrity like "some guy who passed Frank Mentzer in a hallway once" or "Staff member of nuTSR".

Because that would be so totally not worth it. (And yet so in keeping with their practices)

Baldman games is running a 4 hour rpg event at $120 sponsored by David A Christ (let the jokes commence)... But before you start with the jokes he has 4 time slots of 18 players and there is only 1 ticket available...

Not even the most expensive, which is a 2 hour workshop run by Satine Phoenix with the description of: A 2-hour immersive storytelling and writing seminar by Satine Phoenix, former DnD Community Manager & host of Game Master Tips on Geek and Sundry. for a whooping $202...
