Well, given that the reason I do that is to drum up excitement for the convention, having the rest of you doing it really just fits directly into my plan. So it's not like I want you to stop...

Why should Ace and Gary care if they are relegated to being sidekicks?

Both seem well hung enough to star in porno flicks.

Comments like that make me happy I adjusted the browser to not show images. Mark, you may opt to be the "engineer" or the "conductor" as we operate the invisible railroad.

Well given our respective jobs, I'd have to say you're more the conductor and I'm more the engineer.

And in next week's Origins news, this time next week we will be doing the highlight of my convention, THE PLAYTEST!!!

Ok now we kick it into gear folks. Time to check and re-check all your packing list. Make sure you remember all the little things (extra batteries, chargers, money, dice (if you don't intend to buy more there), paying down credit cards, etc.)

As for myself, all the HoA stuff is taken care of and sitting downstairs in the extra room just waiting for me to pack it in the car (which btw, has recently had a servicing. I will fill it monday night).

All that remains is packing personal items and loading the car!

Don't forget to check the weather report!

AND PACK DEODORANT AND OTHER PERSONAL HYGIENE STUFF! AND THEN USE THEM!

(not you specifically, Mark... ;))

Last I looked, it was going to be in the upper 70's to mid 80's the whole time. But if I recall correctly, the only rain possible days were Wed and Thurs.

And Columbus usually has gasoline as cheap as anywhere in the country.

I guess I could drive to Columbus to fill up before I leave on Tues... ;)

gas is usually cheaper but we are getting hit with a price bump currently thanks to a couple refineries being under repair near chicago (so those companies are buying up gas from other local refineries to fill their orders) Currently in NE ohio it's right around 4 bucks a gallon.

If you can fuel up closer to pittsburgh, which gets supplied out of the New York system, it's likely 20-40 cents cheaper.

I just expanded the page. And a note for the PA players. I just scrapped the stats on the major opposition and rebuilt them to reflect better balance. So no accusations of my constructing combat only one trick party killers. (i'm wiping out half the city instead)

Your hotel bill will reflect that if you talk about it.

What do you mean? From the price we pay, I already thought that they added that factor in, because why else would you be at a hotel except on your vacation. ;)

The price you pay is the discount event rate. People in town on business, to appear at a government hearing, with a relative in a hospital, just passing through, stuck with a flight layover, or just there without a group event (say on honeymoon) pay about twice that amount. Somebody is probably looking into ways to justify charging you for an extra 40% of a room if you are thinking you are already using it.

So while I was sitting here trying to write, my mind started wandering to all the things I am looking forward to for Origins 2013. Sure there's the obvious stuff (Gaming, wandering the dealer's hall, seeing old friends, giving Kenny a hard time) but there's also the little stuff (counting the dead deer on the way to Columbus, listening to Black Jack Justice, stopping at Denny's Beer Barrel Pub for lunch, making the story for the kids toys, standing at the top of the escalators before heading down to get my badge, passing C Hall and smiling to myself, etc.)

I am really looking forward to this. See you all real soon.
