Countdown to GenCon 2013Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013Thanks, that seems almost too simple and not nearly arcane enough.
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013And it's started! Go buy tickets!
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013hmm, 20 minutes in and only 4 tickets sold...
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013I have gone down from 3370 to 2165 in line for processing....
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013If it seems to stick for a long time, refresh it by opening a new tab (sometimes it forgets to update your page, but it's still counting down).
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013Once you get your schedules, feel free to share!
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013
What about Episode 5? Oh and to keep a running tally 36 tickets sold (out of 76 possible), so we've sold just about half the tickets. 1 sold out (Ep.1 Thurs Morning) after an hour and a half of registration. EDIT, apparently there was a run as I was typing, it's now 41 tickets sold out of 76
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013Gawd! What a programmer's nightmare. Bugs and bugs and bugs.
I went through checkout four times.
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013Since this is GenCon and they've joined the late 20th century (which would be LAST century for those of you counting) Because I inputed all the HoA info, I can look at the names of the folks who bought tickets. Charlie, you are sitting at a table with Deb Wesel. YAY! And it appears Deb and Nicci are also going to be hanging out with us for a while!
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013Are Deb and Nicci bringing their ugly older sister with the hairy legs and chin?. Actually, that is a mostly avalon/highland party. You may be forced to be vesten free for a session.
I don't mind growing old... but I hate growing up.
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013Being from Avalon, that will not be a problem.....
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013Plus Mark, I was planning to run in episode 5 when you come up to Nashua to play!!!!
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013And the gencon site is refusing additional logins as of 4pm, when i get offf work. So i will be genericing my way into 5 and 6 most likely.. because I have to run my RL game tonight
and jsut befor ei leave for gaming, it lets me in. Im in the thursday evening episode 5 and the friday morning ep 6
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013
There are actually other people playing Avalonians? And highlanders as well! I didn't think it was possible. It's a shame I can't go to GenCon.
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013Charlie and Lady Grace's husband are both playing Avalonians, Laura is Inish as is Tim at Origins and a guy that played 4 sessions at Con on the Cob. Year one had a highlander named Bruce (who is registered here)as well as Deb and Nicci playing twins (with Nicci's SO playing their older brother who I joke about being the ugly sister in the shorter dress). So yeah, I think there are more avalonians that Castillians. Low representation might be the Ussurans who only have 2 (counting the fhidelhi). I think I know of 3 vodacce and 4 eisen. Vesten, however, are everywhere.
I don't mind growing old... but I hate growing up.
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013You can add another Ussuran in there Scott, Lisa from OGC plays an Ussuran
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013And I'm the token Vendel (at Origins).

Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013Grace, you are a fence-hopping vesten and you just won't admit it. And I was counting Lisa as the second Ussuran. I can't think of any others except John's Alexsi character.
I don't mind growing old... but I hate growing up.
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013VENDEL, DAMMIT!

Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013I'll be attempting to buy a ticket tonight on behalf of another player for Sat #5 and the PA.
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013Yay! we got plenty of tickets left (way too many for my comfort level). I want to see us sell out here!
Re: Countdown to GenCon 201380 Days Left!!!
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013Mark, having never gone to Indianapolis before, I have a couple of questions. There seems to be quite a number of good places to eat. However, with 40K yahoo's running around, my guess is that they are quite crowded. Is it better to make reservations for dinner, or are there some hidden gems that you know of? Second, due to a lack of vacation time, I will not be able to drive with you. I can squeeze 2 vacation days out but not the week that driving would entail. I will be getting there around noon on Wednesday. What are your and everyone else's plan for the day?
Re: Countdown to GenCon 2013Darn, no Charlie for the drive
Well at least I will see you at GenCon. The crowded food area is centered on Illinois St. between W. Maryland and w. Georgia (that's where Steak N Shake, The Ram, The Mikado, and St. Elmo's are all located). As you move out away from them, things get less crowded (since the farther out you go, the less likely folks are to want to get there). Hidden Gems. Right next to Subway on Washington is a small tavern called Loughmillers Pub & Eatery (301 W Washington St). Gamers rush to Subway between events leaving Loughmillers almost competely empty. They do very good sandwiches (far FAR better than Subway). If you want to check out their menu, here's the website http://loughmillerspub.com/ Also while not exactly hidden (and sometimes busy) Claddagh Irish Pub (234 S Meridian S) has good irish food (I've never had anything there I didn't like). Their website is http://claddaghirishpubs.com/ And lets not forget The Rathskeller (401 E Michigan S). I am free after 5pm on Wed so if everyone else is, we could do good German food...
