Another great GM has passed on

Just saw an obit this morning for Rick Shantery.

You may have seen Rick at Origins or Con on the Cob dressed as the 9th Doctor. He ran Doctor Who at various cons in the region and was a really cool guy.

The announcement says he died in an accident at the age of 50. (So at least he hadn't been sick).

Let us wish him a good regeneration.
I don't mind growing old... but I hate growing up.

Damn, I just met him for the first time at Origins this year playing Dr. Who. Very good GM and a really, really nice guy....

Just dug up an article from Columbus paper. It was a single vehicle motorcycle accident thursday.

Sorry to hear about this Dave, did you know him outside of the Con circuit?

No, but I know him from multiple events in the region. Origin, Cob and some other comic and anime stuff he was at with his kids.
