Bad ideas in food

So I decided to try out the new Quaker "overnight oats"

For those not breakfast aware, it's a single serving container you add milk into (rice, in my case) and let sit in the fridge overnight.

The idea is that it absorbs overnight and becomes this fluffy delicious cold breakfast in 8 hours.

The reality was a cup still half full of uncooked oats that tasted raw. The only benefit was that the undersized portion meant less misery.

And in an era of disposable containers, that fact that the lids do not seal tightly makes thia peaky mess a pure fail.

Bummer - we picked up a couple of them, but have not tried either flavor yet.

Flavor was good, texture lousy. It might improve if you add a yogurt to fluff it out.

We'll have to give that (the yogurt recommendation) a try. Thanks!
