So, boredom has lead me to opening the "National Day Calendar" which lists all the stupid holidays lawmakers have slipped into various congressional acts over the years. It's goofy enough that I am taking it home to share as the year goes on.

January, 17:. Bootlegger's Day, Get to Know Your Customers Day, and Hot Buttered Rum Day. (The first and last may make the second easier)

I find myself looking forward to this being a thing.

Just wait for Feb. 5... Best holiday ever (no spoilers!)

Peking Duck day (in case you needed dinner plans)
Winnie the Pooh Day (oh bother, and I am out of honey)
Thesaurus Day (also known as book that gives you other words day)
And
Michigan Day (which any Ohio State fan will tell you still sucks)

Ooooh...a good Peking Duck is divine.

Locally, the Rock Hall has declared this as "Rush Fan Day". So you all know that Lady Grace has braved a blizzard to Alex Lifeson interview Geddy Lee about bass guitars.

Officially, is is simply Popcorn Day.
So pop up a big old bowl and enjoy a swashbuckling film today.

Lady Grace WANTED to, but to quote "The Big Wheel" (from Roll the Bones) "The Tickets sold out in advance".

Seriously, I was 1036 in line because I'm an unwashed mass who doesn't have a RRHOF membership. 5 minutes later, in tiny-ass font that I have to squint to see, a message pops up that it's already sold out.

....I'll always have Toronto though...

Sorry I missed yesterday, storm knocked my phone seven ways.

Library "shelfie" Day. I guess you take pics near books instead of reading them.

Pie Day! I recommend the peach.

Beer Can Appreciation Day ( just the can, not the contents)

Compliment Day ( you are all wonderful for humoring my weird thread)

Peanut Butter Day (I separated it in case you have allergies)

Well, thats a lovely beer can full of peanut butter.

Big Wig Day (mental images of Mark and Ken are your own doing)
Florida Day (given my current weather, a great plan)
Irish Coffee Day. (For coping with those wigs)
