Please tell me we round out the week with Gingers day and step-childrens day.

Creamsicle Day (this is a worthy holiday)

And...

V-J Day (that is victory over Japan, kids. We fought them once quite awhile ago and inadvertently ended the war and invented the ending of every Anime filmed for a couple decades at the same time. Mushroom Clouds mean it's over)

Lemon Meringue Pie Day (make a crust, bake it, let it cool, fill it with pudding...then it get complicated)

And...

Relaxation Day (naturally, my extended family have opted to ruin this holiday by visiting with a car full of small children)

Rum Day (it is not "all gone". There will still plenty unless the renn faire is in town...nevermind, the rum is gone)

Roller Coaster Day (King's Island just announced a new one, Orion will top out around 91MPH)

Airborne Day (what we hope Orion will not become. But really a tribute to the most foolish military units in history...jumping out of airplanes...)

And...

Tell a Joke Day (Two Guys walk into a bar, the third guy ducks.)

Hey remember that "imagined slights" theme? Time to tie more of that up today. Without further ado...

Black Cat Appreciation Day (it's a cat, your misfortune is your own fault)

Massachusetts Day (a "too" state...too crowded, too expensive, too hung up on it's past...)

World Honey Bee Day (nobody but Macario thinks about the bees)

Nonprofit Day (not to be confused with Nonprophet Day)

Thrift Shop Day (I am pretty sure Thrift Store shopping is how my uncle makes his living. Buying and reselling to the vintage stores)

And...

I LOVE My Feet Day (the caps were official there. I suppose in a world where foot fetishes are a real thing, self love would be an inevitable reality too)

Fajita Day (seriously, it was an excuse to use up cheap flank meat nobody wanted...why are these a thing?)

Ice Cream Pie Day (ice cream goes WITH pie, stop swirling stuff together)

And...

Mail Order Catalog Day (ok kids, before there was an internet, companies would send you a physical booklet similar to a magazine or comic book and each page would have pictures and descriptions of items they had for sale. You would fill out an order sheet that was included for the things you wanted, write a check (I will explain what those are a different day) and put it all in and envelope and send it via the postal service to the company. In 4-6 weeks, you would get a package with your stuff in it. It was just like Amazon in slow motion)

Soft Ice Cream Day (you should have put that ice cream pie from the weekend BACK in the freezer)

Bow Day (I would tell you all to wear one in your hair but Mark doesn't have anything to attach it to)

And...

Aviation Day (do not celebrate this without lessons)

Chocolate Pecan Pie Day (very different from plain, vanilla, pumpkin spice or cherry pecans)

And...

Radio Day (ok kids, back before there was streaming, in order to listen to music you did not own, you needed a dedicated box that caught very primitive signals broadcast from towers. You had no control over which songs got played, there was a guy who got paid to pick those and tell you what the song was after it ended. And you couldn't skip the songs you hate except by changing the signal channel completely. Sometimes you could call in and request a specific song like "Surfin' USA" by the Beach Boys. Then, 40 minutes later (give or take) the DJ would say this next song was a request by you and play "Paint it Black" by the Rolling Stones because he really didn't care what you wanted to hear.)

Well, it's an honest correction, dave. If i called to request surfin USA, it would mean i had forgotten paint it black exists.

Brazillian Blowout Day (it's a hairstyle not a sale)

Senior Citizens Day (it is just for you, Mark.)

And...

Spumoni Day (a lousy ice cream full of flavors nobody but Senior Citizens like)

Tooth Fairy Day (might visit after all those tortes...you do not want to know what the going rate for a tooth is now)

Boa Day (feather...constrictor...there are probably other types)

And...

Bean Better Day (a bad pun and beans? Winner)

WITH, not Like. It's an old sailing phrase.

On to today...

Maryland Day (Maryland is the poster child for weird natural borders instead of orderly boxes)

Peach Pie Day (when you have really good peaches that are crisp, sweet and not over cooked into mush, it's amazing. When you have average, overcooked mushy peaches, it's....still amazingly good)

And...

Waffle Day (probably brought to you by Waffle House which has lousy waffles. Waffles= Drury= Origins and that is the best waffle)

Weiner Schnitzel Day (that is German for deep fried meat)

Teddy Bear Day (allegedly maybe named for a president that used to shoot bears)

Care Bears Share Your Cares Day (sharing leaves you with fewer cares)

And...

Boss/Employee Exchange Day (sounds like the resolution of a hostage situation to me.)

TV Dinner Day (Mom was never excited to cook, we ate a lot of these back in the day, when they were in foil trays)

Swap Ideas Day (mine currently involve better ways to sling Tom's of sand so you may want to inquire elsewhere)

And...

Ants on a Log Day (ants...on a log...there is nothing special about that)

Kids Take Over the Kitchen Day (children with knives and peanuts...be very afraid)

Uncle Sam Day (he always needs money, he dresses weird, frequently embarrassing, and loud...just like all your other uncles)

Blame Someone Else Day (like those damn kids in the kitchen and Uncle Sam)

Better than my plan to make a regular hoagie and replace the bun with a sliced eclair with the filling still in place.
