Things Nobody Should Be Pondering

So, these thing wander into my brain and they need answers (or at least to be asked to people so they can roll their eyes).

Today's Topic.

Let us deal with a hypothetical person named "Jim Christian".

If Jim gets married and his wife takes his name, does she become a "converted Christian"?

Obviously, any kids will be "Born Christians" and not Reborn unless something very uncomfortable happens during delivery.

What if Jim's sister gets married? Is she now a "former Christian"?

What if Jim decides to become an athiest? Does he have to drop his last name and just answer to "Jim"?

I don't even want to get into what happens if he is excommunicated or converts. The whole family might need to change names.

Today's topic (with no promise i will have daily thoughts. Some days i prefer not to think at all)

If the Confederate Army had won the Civil War, would we still see monetary references to "The Benjamins"? Because the only Benjamin depicted on their currency was on the $2 bill.

I have a feeling you thought of this because it could then be personally relevant. One Davis. Hundreds of Davies?

Or alternatively, One Lee, Hundreds of Leevies?

Actually there was a Jeopardy question on it last night.

And i like the idea that all those rap songs about raking in fat loads of cash would suddenly be about tip money at a cheap restaurant.

But it does also make me wonder how those phrases translate in movies. If a guy 8s going on about "the benjamins" what does that get translated to in France, China or India where nobody has any idea who is on the $100 bill?

Is it "all about the Maos" in China?

What exactly is all that great about sliced bread?

Knives and bread have been around forever. It is not particularly hard to cut. Bread is pretty good whole or torn off in chunks.

And before you say "sandwich", it is entirly possible to rip a small round of bread open, shove all the sandwich parts in and have a bigger sandwich.

So I ponder, why is sliced bread considered a milestone?

For your contemplation...

With schools teopening, we are bound to hear about kids being sent home or punished for having "inappropriate masks". The question is will this be due to the mask being made of the wrong materials to protect the student? OR Will it be due to what is printed on the mask?

What is printed on it. After all, the indocrination, not the safety, of the children is what the school is there for.

My sister just typo texted me.

The phrase is "Justifiable Homily".

I am wondering if that is the album title for a Christian Rap group, a folk album of death metal covers, or a tell all book about Joel Osteen.

And, yes, i would listen to the folk music covers.

What would Janis Joplin sound like if she was still alive today? She was gravel voiced at 27, i am trying to imagine where it would go from there.

This morning, there are no donuts. Someone made two trips to stores yesterday and agreed to pick some up, but this morning is donut free.

The ball of fried dough has been dropped.

So, those donuts ended up somewhere. Somewhere I am not.

So, this morning, I ponder...Who is eating my donut?
