BTW, never...ever play Call of Duty with Vietnam vets. They will totally own you. (Jeremy knows of whom I speak and can attest to this)

And after they have owned you, they will explain that being a camper is actually the correct play.

Some fellow named Howard Simon just returned a Bob Dylan album to the University Heights public library.

He checked it out in 1973.

So how long is the wait/hold list for that album?

And if it had been Lynyrd Skynyrd would he still be listening to Freebird on the first playthrough?

Does the word "Original" mean something different in the Canadian languages?

I get a radio station from across the lake and they oeep announcing things as "another FM 96 Original" and then the play a Tom Petty or Police song.

It would make sense if they were plaaying Canadian bands or new songs. But at this point, tyere is nothing Original about Roxanne.

Sounds like they use the word the same way we use the word "Classic".

Are people with the last name of "Banks" more likely to name a son "Cliff" or "Rob"?

Charlie Watts is sitting out the next Rolling Stones tour to recover from surgery. Mick and Keith have both said in the past it is Charlie's band.

Can you imagine what the want ad to replace him looked like?

Wanted: Octogenarian drummer for global tour.
Must be a calming influence on the rest of us. Influences: Us.

I also hear in my head a call to recruit Ringo for the job.

"Hello?"
"Ringo, how would you like to join the world's greatest rock and roll band for a tour?"
"Been there, done that, mate." Click.

Would it be possible to get other famous actors with distinctive voices to overdub lines for characters like Darth Vader, Groot, and Rocket?

It's not like "I am Groot" would he a time consuming project.

Here's an interesting thing, maybe to actually ponder on. The other day I was walking down the alley way near my work, on the way to work, which we have to walk since we have to park in a different parking lot. So anyway, I stopped under a tree, because it was hot, and the last tree with shade before I crossed the street to work. While I am standing there, something flaps on the tree above me. I thought it was a squirrel climbing up the tree, but when I looked up, it turned out to be a 1 dollar bill tacked to the tree about half again my height. so I couldn't reach the dollar. I was curious of who would do this, but shrugged it off and went to work, telling a few folks about it. Well today, I heard another girl talking about it, and walked over and talked to her. She had actually seen one on a different tree up the block from the one I had seen, and again it was up higher than a average person could reach. So we got to wondering how many more trees have dollar bills tacked up in around the neighborhood. I don't know, but she went back with a extended gripper and got her dollar, lol. The one I had seen was gone. (She checked.) So I think there are going to be a lot of people looking up in the trees around Newtonville for a while, lol.

My sister has posed the following:

Is it ok to kill off characters when writing your autobiography?

Really hope it is not me.

Comment my daughter made today: Dad, how long ago did Prostitution start?

ME: Well how long do you think?

Daughter: Well, I guess sometime after the French Revolution

ME: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!
Do you remember when we went to Pompeii? There were signs on some buildings where the women were advertising their prices? That was 79 AD. Why do you think they call it "the world's oldest profession?"

Daughter: They don't really call it that, do they?

ME: *Nods very slowly*

Daughter: ugh!

Now i am wondering what the french revolution had to do with it.

And for the record, the official start was about 12 minutes after the first guy had something a woman wanted for herself.

Marvel Comics Films:

Why are the subtitles not in word balloons?
That seems like a great special edition option.

Local news just showed an overnight video of a group of cops and ems guys pulling a woman out of lake erie. It's a spot near down town with metal walled shore reinforcement on the harbor so she just cant walk out.

They are hauling her up using a rope and great effort.

Why is she not using the ladder that is attached to the retaining wall 6 feet to her left? It is in plain sight on the video.

Apparently there were two women, one managed to get to the ladder. Watching the video, I'm going to go with drunk/stoned/ otherwise impaired and hypothermic for the other.

Another Skyrim lore thought for those that have played it.

Tiber Septim conquered the Empire and united the continent at the end of the second era. Ruled for almost 40 years and died, ascending to godhood under the name Talos.

In more recent Skyrim history, part of the prace treaty with the Elves was to ban the worship of Talos. Officially because the elves don't want people thinking any mortal can become a god.

But every Elf you ever meet in Skyrim is ridiculously old and talks about being involved in events that happened hundreds of years ago.

Are the elves really banning Talos worship because they knew the guy personally and he was a jerk?

Well, I am also working under the theory that the final boss battle is so easy because the hero has been set up by the "leader of the Greybeards" to fake the death of the main villain.

I think there may have been a "partial soul trap" as described in the dawnguard expansion involved.

Wait, thought of something.

How is Paul Rudd the world's sexiest man?

We have players that should beat him out. (And characters but that is different)

I shouldn't be pondering rage quitting my job, but when what amounts to a nearly two hour lecture at how we all suck at doing our job and dripping with condescension starts with "if you don't like talking on the phone, talk to your manager because this job isn't for you" it becomes ever more of a possibility.
