Just watched half a tree fall in my back yard!

Got some pretty high winds and rain up here in Massachusetts right now, with Irene batting away at us.

Heard a slight funny sound comming from my bedroom, so went to look, real quick. I have my window open there a bit, as I like the fresh air, so went over and looked out, just in time to see the top half of one of the trees crack and fall off.
Thankfully it hit nothing, just the yard, but missed the house and the two neighbors fences to the right and back of the house.
Think! - Its not Illegal yet.

See, it's already worse than Mark predicted. He said limbs not the whole top. It's the apocalypse. Now, stay inside. You all are not faster than falling trees and stuff thrown through the air.

Not so at all. The measure was what I could see. No big limbs (just twigs), I was outside in the worst of it and all I saw was swaying trees, and no flooding (save the small bit which comes in every time it rains). Worst part was wind cut power for about 2 hours (which I slept through). So all in all, my assessment is, meh...

Good, you can help Laura cut up her tree tomorrow.

Alright, the winds have died down, everything is calm, so naturally NOW one of the neighbor's trees cracked and fell into their front yard. Pretty lame if you ask me.
