Hey Mark, how are the kids enjoying the snow?

Postby Rebecca Iavelli » Sat Feb 09, 2013 11:39 am

This has got to be one of the biggest storms we have had since before David was born, so they must be estatic seeing all the snow out there to play in. You'll have to watch the dog though, or you'll have a pupsicle in no time, as it's way over its head in height, lol. Might have to keep an eye on Scott too, as he's not that much taller. ;)

Say hi to them from me!

Yup they sure love it. It cause the YMCA to close (so no AHHGGG!! swim lessons) none of them have even bothered to get dressed, they woke up and immediately plopped down in front of the most all-powerful of gods, the TV (we can't go anywhere so they're allowed more TV on days like this)

Well, I just got back in from trying to shovel out the driveway. Got a path from the front door to the driveway done, and about space for one car to park (my downstairs neighbor had to work last night, so he just got home), so we cleared out enough space for him to get his car off the road. My car is the only one that was parked over night, so all of our driveway is under 3 feet of snow, except where my car is, and its pretty well packed in. Its going to take me these two days to just be able to unshovel all the town has plowed in behind it.

Well if SOMEBODY was out shoveling instead of sitting online it might get done. I'm gonna sit back and enjoy my weekend thaw and 45 degree day.

It got done. Took the two days I figured it would. My neighbor downstairs cleared out their area, and I did my own. Must have been the whole Iceburg that sunk the Titanic behind my car, but now its nothing but a giant pile of snow between the neighbors next door and my car. I got pictures, I need to download eventually. Can't say I didn't get my exercize, while SOMEONE else just sat around enjoying a warm breeze. ;)

Supposed to get some rain today, so the snow will get a nice icy covering and hang around for a while.

There are a lot of things I miss about Massachusetts.

The weather isn't one of them.

We got our rain yesterday, and had lots of fog from it melting some of the snow. Got home to find that they had brought out the sidewalk plow, and "cleared" the sidewalk. Thing is, we had it better cleared than it did. Looks like all it did was knock down some of the wall of snow into the area that had been cleared. Was very slippery getting to the house last night, and looks like I'll have to shovel it clear again.
