7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!He needs to send that to me to check for errors ( and replace every mention of sorcery with the words, "completely mundane talents for arta and crafts")
Actually, he should be paying somebody to handle that. But it bodes well for seeing this thing over the summer. I don't mind growing old... but I hate growing up.
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!JUST got a notice that the codes for the core book will be going out over the next 12 hours. This is for the backers. everybody else can purchase sometime next week.
That's just too short of a notice to rewrite the adventures for Origins. sorry folks, we will be staying 1st ed this year. (I'm kidding HOA is staying put as far as editions go. we will take a vote or something for the next campaign) BUT THE IMPORTANT THING IS 7TH SEA IS BACK!!!!!!!!! I don't mind growing old... but I hate growing up.
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!
I'm 99.9% sure Mark is on record for the Avalonian saga staying 1st as it won't "work" in 2nd.
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!He also said he doesn't feel that the character advancement will work well as written in a con based living campaign.
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!There are always ways if we wish.
I don't mind growing old... but I hate growing up.
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!Sounds more like the players and gm might need to communicate more with the storyline advancement options. Like, probably keeping location based stuff in the relevant country
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!What would happen is that the regular games would grant an amount of XP towards a specific type of advancement. (Save towrd a trait, gain a 3 point advantage, add a point to two skills). And the personal stories would be personal agenda sessions
I don't mind growing old... but I hate growing up.
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!Cool, then you would just need to create a simple xp cost chart for such things.
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!So, I've received an email asking that I submit my 2.0 character for one of the Sourcebooks by the end of July. It asks for what amounts to a beginning character, not a character who has adventured a while.
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!Well, that's something I will never need. A pile of starting level characters. It will be fun identifying who I know however.
I don't mind growing old... but I hate growing up.
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!Mike,
If it's the same email I got, they're not asking for that character. They want the character that you're going to play during the special game. In other words, you get to make your own character for the game.
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!
Well, I did receive three identical emails, but all specifically referenced Hero immortalized, my Kickstarter pledge: the half page image, the summary of misadventures, etc. That's not the same as one of the other Kickstarter pledges, playing in a game at GenCon, however. As I mentioned before, I did succeed in getting tickets for three 2.0 events at GenCon, but believe only one is directly from Wick Productions. I've sent a request for a clarification. We'll see...
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!Mark, please build something with Aim and Weaponry, I have a few clarifications I want to see resolved.
And whatever else happens, first round of combat, Pressure a Brute Squad. I don't mind growing old... but I hate growing up.
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!I got a seat at one of the 2nd ed games too. my email references my dread pirate, not my gencon game.

For an added bonus, Pressure them into kidnapping you... "You're still mad at me about that whole 'gun-pointing' thing, aren't you?" -- Fortunato Valeri
And here's where I try to be a writer...
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!No, they will do that. I want to see how John resolves Brutes being Pressured.
And how many guns you can get away with shooting in a round at the same target. And if he will let a non dueling attack spend 3-4 raises to damage or if the player needs to plink those attacks out one at a time. All those things have vague issues in the rules. I don't mind growing old... but I hate growing up.
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!So, re-reading Pressure to make sure I got it right, What do you want me to pressure them into? Surrendering, playing cards with me? Acting as my a capella backup band?
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!If I recall correctly, my Profesora rolled Convince+Wits or Panache against the BS at the Origins PA.
They were to decide it was a better idea to go away and not stick around.
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!Anything really. The issue is that to resist, they need to spend an extra raise which they do not have.
John had never had a playtest group try and pressure Brutes but it was literally the first thing every HOA group did in combat. I want to see what he does with it. I don't mind growing old... but I hate growing up.
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!About 2 weeks ago, I got my e-mail to create my character for the Ultimate Adventure! game. Typical chargen level. We shall see what happens.

Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!Will 2nd Edition be on sale at GenCon?
Re: 7th Sea...is BACK~!!!!Yes, yes it will
