I forwarded the dates to Ken's staff. They have already requested it off.

At Gencon..
Sure.

We have plenty of free time and extra staff to run a larp at gencon that doesn't bump into Dana or the 2nd Ed larps there now.

Totally in favor of this plan because then I don't have to run it.

Our events are in, woo! Here's the list if you want to start getting your schedule figured out. A note, Do Not Panic If You Can't Get A Spot. 2pm-6pm HoA, Ep. 13 – The Madman of Paseo Largo (GM: Me) JW 303 Table 1
7pm-11pm HoA, Ep. 15 – Black Sheep (GM: Me) JW 303 Table 1
7pm-11pm HoA, Flashback (Episodes Odd)x2 (GMs: Sam, Alexandra) JW 303 Table(s) 2-3

Fri (3rd):
9am-1pm HoA, Ep. 16 – Fall from Grace (GM: Me) JW 303 Table 1
2pm-6pm HoA, Ep. 14 – A Friend in Need (GM: Ken) JW 303 Table 1
2pm-6pm HoA, Flashback (Episodes Even) x2 (GMs: Sam, Alexandra) JW 303 Table(s) 2-3
7pm-11pm HoA, Ep. 12 – Old Friends (GM: Ken) JW 303 Table 1

Sat (4th):

9am-1pm HoA, Ep. 15 – Black Sheep (GM: Me) JW 303 Table 2
2pm-6pm HoA, Ep. 14 – A Friend in Need (GM: Ken) JW 303 Table 1
2pm-6pm HoA, Ep. 16 – Fall from Grace (GM: Me) JW 303 Table 2
7pm-11pm HoA, Personal Agendas (2 Tables, GMs: Ken and Me) JW 303 Table(s) 1-3

Badge Registration went live today at noon. Grabbed mine so I could get in the housing block (for all the good that'll do me). Price is now $110.00 plus 11 dollars in tax, youch.

EDIT: Forgot to add, Housing Registration begins Feb 11 at noon est.

Skunked at housing reg again (login time was 7:35pm, downtown block sold out around 3:30). But, as usual, I already had a room outside the block. Conrad it is once again!

If there was any doubt, I just got the email from GenCon today announcing the list of Premiere groups. It keeps getting smaller and smaller, but we're still there. YAY!

Is there going to be a LARP at GenCon or is that an Origins only event?

UPDATE: all the events are now “Accepted for Consideration” (Meaning everything looks normal. No changes need to be made. They’re just waiting for event locations.)

Comment extended to/from Origins event selection:
salamanca wrote:Well that should be fun. And speaking of old, I recall mailing in the event list, waiting for confirmation and still having two months before the con to play refresher sessions at home.

Every con on Earth handles this same thing but only Origins makes a hash of it. EVERY TIME.

Only took 1 1/2 hours to process all 10 events, but there are bugs aplenty.

However, the only one likely to cause problems is that I seem to have been able to purchase an event after the fact that was 'sold out' from my wish list, and yet I now own a ticket (for which I paid).

Someone else likely dropped the event or their payment didn't go through. And because GenCon loves you more than all the other gamers, you were selected to purchase that ticket.

That makes the most sense. Their program allows people to select multiple tickets for an event, then get rid of the excess before purchase.

A tight group of friends might each be responsible for just one or two 'wishes' in their wish list.

Oddly, I found something Origins' event registration system does better than GC. If I want to check the number of tickets still available, its right there on the page with the Origins' system. In order to get that info from GC, I either have to click on each event and scroll down to the bottom, OR download the excel spreadsheet and scroll all the way right.

Just wanted to pop in to ask everyone going to GenCon (who knows him) to point out Christian MacLeod to me this year? I keep just missing making an introduction (and he's only running one game this year).

I shall give it a try (it's not too far from my hotel) But I lived in Houston for many years, so if it's not authentic I will know...

Just got a flurry of emails from GenCon. We now have event locations. I added them to the event listing post. But the tl:dr version is, Go to JW Marriott Room 303. Look at Table 1, 2, and 3 (in that order), and you'll eventually find us.

EDIT: Should have also added 50 days until GenCon!
