Writing Progress

Want to know what the writer was thinking? Don't understand the significance of a scene? Or maybe you just want to comment on your experience (for good or bad). This is the place.

Record for slow maybe. I usually have both adventures written before the new year. Only Dave's writing the PA has saved me from being under the gun.

I got inspired to be a bit quicker on the ball for next year's writing and did rough outlines of not one but two different versions of Episode 19.

Beginning the hard work (getting the actual adventures written). Have about a month to do them, then a month to playtest, then a month to make edits, then TotalCon. Sure no problem.

STOP THE PRESSES!
Dave called me last night with a bombshell idea. So I have scrapped the entirety of Ep. 18. And am now re-writing the outline. It's going to be SO much better. Thanks Dave!

And progress as of now, Act 1 (so Scenes I-III) of Ep. 17 now finished. That means I am a quarter of the way done. Good on me.

Ok so now almost 2/3 of the way through and I realized I kind of fibbed when I said Act 1 (scenes I-III) were finished. Apparently Ep. 17 is 3 Acts of 2 Scenes each. So Act 1 and half of Act 2 was finished. Now I that I am finishing up the next scene, Acts 1 & 2 are finished.

And now 18 is finished too! Just need a playtest and then re-writes and we'll be all set for Year 9.

Dave re-read my finished product and added some great ideas. Working my way through that now, and then we'll have a finished product!

Hard at work on next year's output (since 19 and 20 were done last year), the new Sophia's Daughters book. The first two fiction pieces are written (trying to keep them to a page a piece though often my outlines are longer than that). Then it's on to History (which I am limiting to just the time that SD have been an official secret society (they've been an unofficial one for far longer than that).

Woosh haven't updated this in a while. All the fiction pieces are written, as are the short-stories of legend for each nation, AND SD history. Now outlining the Who's Who of SD which I decided to go with an (almost) completely new list of members.

Phew LOTS of progress on the new Sophia's Daughters. Got a new title for the book (The First Tome*), and of the 48 sections I needed to have written I only need to finish 11 more. And several of those are things like, Add 1 more NPC writeup, or Edit down the word count.

Heck I even got some professional artwork for the cover :D

*You'll have to read it to understand it's signficance

Update as I keep thinking of things I should add. Now Im putting in some sample Storehouses (Daughter-speak for libarary/safe house/Elixir making facility) along with their secrets. And some Sample Characters. Once that's done, it should be ready for perusal. Yup you read that right, it'll be ready to read.

All I need to do now is the sample characters. Even have the whole thing together. It's a sight to see...
