I don't recall having noticed this before. When I look at the sight today Chrome is telling me it is not secure.

Yea new algorithm, I don't encrypt the code (apparently used when folks put personal information/credit cards) onto websites. Since no one's going to do that here (at least I hope they have the good sense not to do that here) there's no reason for me to go through the extra expense/hassle of fixing it.

None at all. It's not any less secure than it was. It's just Google flags the pages differently.
