Origins 2014 HOA Club

Postby salamanca » Wed Jun 19, 2013 3:15 pm

Mark and I are looking into a way to make Origins a little cheaper for all of you. Unless there is a loophole 90% of their staff are unaware of, we can form a club and get all LISTED members of that club a discount on their origins 2014 badge. If what we have been told is accurate, we would need to submit a roster of member names and pay a 50 dollar annual fee. After that, all listed members would be eligible for a cheaper convention rate (this year it was 35 bucks for club members). Now, the catch is that we need your names AND there is a minimum number. So speak up if you want us to get this thing going. Text your friends that play in the campaign and never log into the board and get them in here to say "yes, sal. I want you to save me money".

$50 each or just $50 for the club itself? Because I'm a frugal bastard and cheap entry into Origins appeals to me.

$50 for the club. So if there are 50 of us we each kick in a dollar and all of us get our badge for 35 (each) instead of the usual 65...

Right now we have Laura, Me, Dave, Jeremy, Jason (hopefully Meredith is included with this).

And we will be happy to include significant others, sibling or kids you are bringing along that are not playing HOA (but really, they need to get their priorities straight).

Please PM me names written exactly as you will register. There is a computer double check on those against the list and we need to be sure they are spelled correctly. So if you are registering as "David" and I have down "dave". There would be issues. Plus we need to make sure we keep our Steves, Stevens, and Stephens straight.

Normally you just click on the name you want to send to (or look to the right of any post down at the bottom there is a PM button) but in your case you don't have 10 posts yet so PMing is turned off till then.

Nope. I cannot overwrite my earlier registration which wants to charge me full price (but for which I haven't paid). When I try to enter the club code I get transferred back to my earlier registration.

I tried to cancel the registration, but that hasn't worked either. So, I have emailed Joby Miller to see if he can do something.

Since it's in another thread (the Origins thread rather than this one) here's the info again.

Black Jack Rackham wrote:Ok since I cannot PM everyone in one mass unit, I'm going to post the instructions here.

When you go to register:

1. Choose the Club badge type.
2. Enter gosm832 in the “Coupon Code”* field on the first page of registration.
3. Put your club name in the “Business Name”** field on the Registration Demographics page.

*The BOLD'ed thing is, of course our code. It will only work for those who've given me their name/email addy and had me send it into Origins.

**Our business name is The Guild of San Marcos

And remember its very important that you call it THE Guild of San Marcos (but not bolded, large fonted, or capitalized)
