I do need Muffin for another game but not Mega-Paranoia. Last thing I need is clone forming a post egyptian cat cult...on second thought...

My wig arrived today. But no wig cap yet. Still haven't found my Prophet's Cross from several years ago.

Well, I had a very productive day of sewing. My shirt is almost done. Just have to put the elastic in to the wrist of the sleeve, to create the "puffy" look, then hem it up and I'm done.
Wasn't sure how I would like it, in its bright yellow (as close to saffron as I could get), but its color has really grown on me. Still haven't gotten a pair of brown sweatpants for the rest of the costume, but if I have to, I do have some grey ones around here somewhere. Need to dig out my old boots and clean them up too.

My overall costume fits thankfully and doesn't look too bad. Monday, I've got a meeting with a friend who's going to give me some much needed makeup pointers. Plus, her roommate has a blonde wig I can borrow and she's got a corset I can try on to see if that works instead.

Just need to remember my contacts. And I need to figure out how to lace my boots properly.

Given the choice between costuming and being there, I have chosen to arrive.

As long as everyone is wearing something... The DANERYS TARGARYAN collection is not acceptable attire. (at least not for Origins...what you do elsewhere is none of my concern).

My Mike asked if he should wear my wedding kilt. I told him NO.

You let Jeremy wear it the year after the wedding but Mike can't?. (I'd allow it as a GM). And don't try and deny it. Both Mikes and Charlie were there to witness that.

Jeeves was a Highlander and therefore allowed to wear a kilt. Mike is playing a stinky Avalon... ;)

Sewing is done! Just have not been able to find my boots, and I've looked high and low for them. I did find my moccasins, so I'll bring them instead, but it really bothers me that my boots have gone missing. I keep all my costume stuff together, so they should have been in that box, but I took everything out of it, and nothing.

I remember wanting to take them out to clean once, but I never got around too it, so I can't figure out where in this 2 room apartment they can be lost in.

Almost finished packing, and will be on my way to Mark's soon.

It was a good game. If you missed it, you really missed a great time. Special thanks to Mike and Jeremy for taking the job of "in game event coordinator" and doing a great job of it. I'm not going to single out a best costume because we had some great ones. (Tomas, Annie, Dr. Miguel, and the Bravada/Clotide collection among them). KEN SHOULD HAVE PICS UP SOON. The only improvement to the night would have been if more of you had been there. Since Mark thinks this can be rectified, I will run ONE MORE Larp for this campaign and see if it draws numbers to warrant the work. As Mark's current thoery is that a year was not sufficient warning:. THE NEXT LARP WILL BE AT ORIGINS 2018!!!. Mark you schedules now and plan to be there. (now updated characters will be due by January 31 2018. If they are not posted, I am using your current stats which will be 4 years old by then). Now thank you to all our participants who made this game a ton of fun and justified my work getting it together.

I hope that works. I went thru the 200ish pictures, and deleted all the ones that came out fuzzy, and all the shots of the 'cheese' under peoples feet (what was i thinking).

Ah yes, the cheese. For those wondering, it's a paper mache craft box filled with spray insulation foam and golf balls strategically placed off center to prevent it from rolling evenly and to draw it to one side.

I'm still surprised that Mark had to do a doubletake before he realized it was me in my costume... ;)

I've been an oenophile for over 40 years. My major regret at the LARP was not realizing that Lady Clotilde had offered me a glass of real wine.

I especially would have liked to try the viognier or the gewurtz!

I'll have to bring and offer some sacramental wine in 2018!

Grace, I was in the room while you were getting ready and I would have had trouble recognizing you. Losing spectacles and shifting to straight hair is a major pair of changes. Mike, Clotide and Bravada NEVER joke about wine. Just for future reference. And we all happen to live in a spot that has all the same desirable growing qualities of the napa valley so there is an abundance of wineries all growing their own stock up here. (i can think of a dozen less than 10 miles from me). So they have a lot to choose from.

I'm partial to Paper Moon's wines out in Vermillion myself.
