Sal's guide to GMing 7th Sea

Want to know what the writer was thinking? Don't understand the significance of a scene? Or maybe you just want to comment on your experience (for good or bad). This is the place.

The better the GMs you play with, the faster you learn the tricks.

Now, some of you have the good fortune to play regularly with some very good GMs. Watch how they handle things (particularly things that are not normal) Ask them why they made those choices afterwards. Don't challenge their decision, just ask what lead them to that choice.

Nine times out of ten, it will be to further part of the plot you are unaware of yet, because it was the more entertaining way to resolve it or because they are rewarding the player for their creative input.

If you can do those things, you will always be fine.

(and after 37 years as a GM, I am still finding new tricks)
I don't mind growing old... but I hate growing up.
