Been at the in-laws since September as our house gets renovated. The cats haven't killed anyone yet.

I foolishly volunteered myself to run a living campaign that will likely last the rest of my life and I am an obsessive plot-meister so after looking at the last two adventures (which are finished, mind you), I hated the ending enough to dump them in the trash and start again.

That's on top of the regular game I am running, and the special game I am playing in...

Oh yea and children, wife, life, etc...

Wait, the ending we just redid or the ending that replaced.

As for me, nothing to say.

Well, Maddy's adventures have been put on pause (see Black Jack Rackham's post above), but I've begun an interstitial posting that should show up in a few days.

Was up till 1:00 last night, making Christmas cookies. That's what happens when Floyd decides to watch the new Matrix movie, causing me to not start on the cookies till about 11:00. (I suppose it's not entirely fair to blame him for my inability to resist watching the movie....) :D

For those wondering what this "easr coast storm is doing in Ohio's snow belt on the "backside of the weather so don't worry about it"...

It started snowing around 8pm sunday. By 10:30 pm, we had 3 inches of light fluffy and very dry snow. A plow truck went down the road around 9:20pm.

At 7:15 this morning, the snow was about 13 inches deep in the low spots and around 22 inches deep in the drifts. And it is almost all drifts.

The plow truck has not been back down the road. There was the hint of a vehicle having tried to drive the center of the road in the middle of the night but most of the road is under about 18 inches of snow.

We hav a name for this in the snow belt of Ohio. We call it... "Monday".

My snow thrower's battery is on the charger right now. After I get my caffeine in me, I'll be out to attempt to clear the driveway.

Very glad we missed that (we got maybe half an inch of snow).

Stay safe and warm!

Turns out i was wrong. Those low spots were where i did not sink in. It was all 22-24 inches deep with a couple drifts topping out at around 37inches.

I now know something close to the upper limits of what my snow thrower can handle but I have not maxed it out yet! (Honda HSSN 928A if you need one)

Someday i will feel my toes again.

I’m just trying to overcome my horror at you all calling them “snow throwers” rather than the proper term, “snow blowers” ;)

Can't speak for the others but mine throws that snow further than i could heave a baseball.

It uses a spinning blade to fling that snow out.

My blowers use fans to push leaves and they don't go nearly as far.

So, Cleveland officially had 15 inches of snow yesterday. And it shut everything down. Buses, schools for today, businesses, pretty much everything that was not essential was closed. People were stuck on major streets and side streets are still unpassable in places or a single lane in others. This morning we are still seeing live footage of cars being hauled out.

And Thompson, that little spot on the map where my house is... turns out we came in with the highest official total at 28 inches. We win! Whoo-hoo!!!!

Doesn't feel like victory. Feels like I should have abandoned everything i own and moved to hawaii.

No matter what you got, the universe hates me more than it hates you.
