The Badlanders is a 1958 heist movie featuring Alan Ladd and Earnest Borgnine.
This movie has one of the most perfect gamer escape the posse endings i have ever seen. The pair are pinned down in the middle of town behind a wagon. They are stuck and know it. It's a town of immigrants on a festival day. Borgnine's wife rallys the locals to set off the celebration and they all charge out waving guns and setting off fireworks to sweep up the posse while our two rogues ride away in the wagon.
It would never work, should never work, but some GM said, why the hell not?
